iPogo: The easiest way in — and the client most people mean when they say 'spoofing app'

    Visit the iPogo website

iPogo is the most widely used modded Pokémon GO client. On a rooted phone with Magisk 30.7 hiding it gives you a joystick, IV overlay and auto-walk with almost no configuration.

    What iPogo actually is

iPogo is a modified build of the Pokémon GO client, published for both Android and iOS. Rather than sitting alongside the game and feeding it coordinates, it replaces the app itself, which is why the joystick, IV values and spawn information appear inside the normal game interface. We only ship and support the Android side.

That design is the reason it feels easy. It is also the reason it needs reinstalling whenever the developer ships a rebuild after a Niantic update — your login stays, but the APK does not update through the Play Store.

    • Joystick and auto-walk at configurable speeds
    • IVs, movesets and CP shown before you catch
    • Enhanced throw assistance and quick-catch
    • Nearby spawn and raid feeds
    • Favourites list for saved teleport destinations

    iPogo pricing in 2026

The free tier covers the joystick and basic overlays. VIP unlocks auto-catch/auto-spin, block non-shiny (including a 100 IV-only subset), the spawn booster, one-click bag cleaner and release-on-catch. iPogo sells VIP at $5 direct; we package it as a one-month add-on at $5, and we do not sell lifetime licences, because no client in this category has ever honoured one for long.

Every phone we ship includes iPogo free-tier preinstalled, so you can decide whether VIP earns its money before paying for it.

    Where iPogo falls short

It is deliberately shallow. If you want scripted multi-hour routes, conditional rules ('only catch above 90% IV'), or automation that runs while the screen is off, iPogo will frustrate you — that is Shungo's territory.

It is also a full game replacement, so you cannot run it side by side with the official app on the same profile without switching builds.

    iPogo mod updates

Reviewed 28/08/2026. What changed recently, what breaks most often, and how to stay out of trouble.

    Recent changes

    1. August 2026

Rebuild after the August game client update

Niantic's August client push broke the previous iPogo build on launch. A rebuild followed within days; devices shipped before that date need the APK replaced rather than updated in place.

    2. July 2026

Tighter integrity checks around the injected client

Detection work has focused on the modified APK signature. Root-level hiding via Zygisk plus a denylist entry remains the difference between a working install and one that fails at the loading screen.

    3. June 2026

VIP moved fully to annual billing

Perpetual and 'lifetime' keys sold through resellers stopped validating. Annual licences are the only ones we sell or support.

    Common issues and fixes

iPogo common issues and how to fix them
    SymptomFix
Stuck on the loading screen after a game updateThe build is out of date. Uninstall, reinstall the current APK from the developer's own channel, then re-add it to the Magisk denylist — the denylist entry is lost with the package.
Joystick appears but catches silently failYou are inside a soft-ban cooldown from a long jump. Wait it out (roughly two hours after an intercontinental teleport) rather than reinstalling anything.
VIP key rejectedKeys are bound to the account that activated them. Reseller-supplied 'lifetime' keys are the usual culprit; annual keys bought direct do not have this problem.
Login loop after an OTA Android updateAn OTA usually breaks root hiding. Re-flashing restores it — we do this free of charge in the first year on devices we sold.

    Safety notes

    • Spoofing breaks Niantic's Terms of Service. Every client on this page carries a real ban risk — use an account you could afford to lose.
    • Only install builds from the developer's own site or Discord. Repackaged APKs on aggregator sites are the most common source of credential theft in this scene.
    • Never sign into a modded client with your main Pokémon GO account's password on a device you did not set up yourself.
    • Keep Magisk 30.7 hiding and the Pokémon GO denylist entry intact. Once hiding fails, mod clients stop working — often silently rather than with an error.
    • iPogo replaces the game client, so it asks for your Pokémon GO credentials directly. Prefer a secondary account and a login provider you can revoke.

    iPogo alternatives worth considering

    • Shungo

Full automation and scripted routes; far more powerful, far more expensive.

    • PokeMod

Magisk module rather than a replacement APK — deeper settings, keeps the official client.

    • PGSharp Rooted Edition

Free tier plus a $5-a-month Standard Edition covering three phones.

    iPogo FAQs

    Is iPogo safe?

The official build is not malware, but installing it breaks Niantic's Terms of Service and can get an account banned. The real safety risk is repackaged APKs from aggregator sites — install only from the developer's own channel.

Does iPogo still work in 2026?

Yes, with the caveat that each Niantic client update temporarily breaks it until the developer rebuilds — usually a few days. Root plus Magisk 30.7 hiding is what keeps it working between rebuilds.

    Is iPogo VIP worth it?

If you mostly want a joystick and IV overlay, the free tier is enough. VIP at $5 a month pays for auto-catch, auto-spin and raid tooling — worth it if you play daily, not if you spoof occasionally.

What are the best iPogo alternatives?

PokeMod if you want deeper configuration on a rooted device, Shungo if you want full automation, PGSharp Rooted Edition if you prefer a subscription and a support desk.
