Archived: the Horizons bonus code unlocked Timed Research for a costumed Charmander encounter. Its task and reward deadline has passed.
Schedule
| Activity | Local dates and times |
|---|---|
| Wider Horizons celebration | 16 September 2026, 10:00–22 September, 20:00 |
| Bonus research tasks and reward claims | Due before 22 September 2026, 20:00 |
| Separate code-release time | Not specified in the announcement |
Research
The offer code was 0004POKEMONGO, redeemed through the Pokémon GO Web Store. This is an archive of that promotion, not a current redemption opportunity.
| Research route | Announced rewards |
|---|---|
| Code-unlocked Timed Research | Charmander wearing Friede's goggles, Poké Balls and other unspecified rewards |
The announcement does not publish the individual tasks, item quantities or a separate code-specific bonus multiplier.
Featured Pokémon
- Charmander wearing Friede's goggles was the named research encounter.
- Its costume continues through evolution into Charmeleon and Charizard, using 25 and 100 Charmander Candy respectively.
Shiny
The wider event allowed Shiny costumed Charmander and Special Background encounters. The code-research paragraph does not guarantee either outcome for its reward.
Preparation
When comparing an old screenshot with this archive, distinguish the code research from the celebration's GO Pass. They were separate reward routes with different claim deadlines.
