    Event focus

Geminids brings back Minior encounters during December. The useful play window is four hours each evening, rather than every hour between the opening and closing dates.

Geminids has a different core-color debut in each hemisphere. The announcement has not identified the two colors; a Northern Hemisphere collection plan should not assume the Southern Hemisphere debut is available locally.

    Bonuses

    • More Minior encounters during the daily 17:00–21:00 block.
    • Extra Stardust for catching Minior. This announcement does not extend that reward to every Pokémon.

At introduction, form changes apply to GO Battle League, Team GO Rocket and team-leader battles. Minior is excluded from the 2027 Latin America International Championships. These battle rules are separate from the encounter schedule.

    Before your session

    • Set your reminder for 17:00, the encounter increase, rather than the event’s late final closing time.
    • Leave Pokémon storage for the catches you intend to check, then sort between evenings.
    • Recheck the official update nearer the event, especially for a future-year date or a core-color announcement.
