Dynamax Trails 2026: Eternatus, GO Pass and event schedules

This is the overall event window. Check the schedule below for daily hours, overnight breaks and separate reward deadlines.

    Event focus

Dynamax Trails brings back earlier Dynamax species for a week of Max Battles, alongside chances to collect Max Particles from catches. Eternatus comes through the event GO Pass; Eternamax Eternatus is a battle for Candy, not a catch encounter. Their different reward routes matter when deciding what to play.

    Schedule

    Schedule — table 1

Main event and standard GO Pass access16 November, 10:00–23 November, 20:00Local
Eligible early GO Pass accessFrom 14 November, 10:00Local; requires claiming Tier 1 rewards on Into the Wild's pass
Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble Spotlight Hour19 November, 18:00–19:00Local
Eternamax Eternatus takeover and battle-window bonuses21 November, 11:00–14:00Local
Collect GO Points and rank upUntil 23 November, 20:00Local
Claim unlocked GO Pass rewardsBefore 25 November, 20:00Local
Remote Raid daily limit of 3020 November, 13:00–21 November, 18:00 PST20 November, 21:00–22 November, 02:00 UTC

Early access applies to the pass. It does not move the main event's 16 November start or Eternamax's three-hour takeover. The fixed worldwide Remote Raid window uses PST (UTC−8), rather than each player's local date boundary.

    Event bonuses

    • Event-themed wild catches and catches after Max Battles can award Max Particles.
    • More Power Spots are active than usual.
    • Event stickers are available through PokéStops, Gifts, the in-game shop and pass progress.

Particle rewards are a chance, not a guaranteed amount per catch. Catches made with the Explorer Gadget or Pokémon GO Plus + do not award these catch-based Max Particles. The announcement does not give a numerical chance or quantity.

    Wild and Max Battle encounters

Wild and Max Battle encounters — table 1
    RouteAnnounced pool or condition
Wild encountersEvent-themed species, including Pokémon that previously debuted in Dynamax Max Battles; Legendary and Mythical Pokémon are excluded
General Max Battle poolPreviously released Dynamax Pokémon may return; Legendary and Mythical Pokémon are excluded from this general pool
Successful Max Battle catchesA chance of a Special Background
Eternamax takeoverA separate, explicitly announced Eternatus battle window on 21 November

The general announcement does not provide a species-by-species rotation, battle difficulty table or appearance guarantee. A species appearing in the wild does not establish that the wild catch can Dynamax. Special Backgrounds remain chance-based. Eternatus's separate pass and takeover rules should not be inferred from the general return pool.

    Spotlight Hour

Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble share the 19 November, 18:00–19:00 local hour with double catch Candy. Shiny encounters are possible, without published numerical odds.

Use the separate starter Spotlight Hour guide for the hour's calendar and preparation. The bonus applies to catch Candy; this announcement does not extend it to every Candy source or the full week.

    Eternamax battle bonuses

During 21 November, 11:00–14:00 local, Eternamax Eternatus occupies most Power Spots:

    • Power Spots refresh more often.
    • The Max Particle collection limit becomes 2,400.
    • Power Spots provide eight times the Max Particles.

Defeating Eternamax awards Eternatus Candy and Candy XL. You cannot catch Eternamax after the battle. The announcement does not enumerate the Candy payout, a minimum team size or a verified counter list. See the dedicated Eternamax guide for the takeover schedule, separate Remote Raid limit and pass distinction.

Deluxe includes claims from both tracks. Availability and regional prices vary. Claiming the earlier pass's Tier 1 rewards is the stated qualification; simply owning that pass is not enough. Check your Into the Wild progress before purchasing an upgrade you may qualify to receive free. The Web Store gift is described for a purchase, so it is not promised with the automatic free upgrade.

    Pass rewards and milestones

The pass lists an Eternatus encounter, or 100 Eternatus Candy if you have already caught Eternatus. The announcement limits catching Eternatus to once during this event; it does not promise another catch to an existing owner.

These are confirmed milestones, not a full rank reward table. The extra Max Battle Candy quantities, individual Pass Tasks, point values and any point cap are not specified. Additional bonus tasks are announced. Finish progression by 23 November, 20:00, then claim unlocked rewards before 25 November, 20:00 local; the claim period does not extend the earning period.

No task list or full research reward track is published in the specific announcement. Use the in-game preview when tasks become available rather than treating earlier event tasks as current requirements.

    Preparation

    1. Check whether you can claim Into the Wild's Tier 1 rewards for early pass access and free Deluxe before spending on an upgrade.
    2. Reserve separate sessions for the starter hour on 19 November and Eternamax on 21 November. The latter finishes as Pawniard Community Day begins at 14:00 local.
    3. Check Power Spots and arrange a battle group before the takeover; Candy rewards do not mean an Eternamax catch is available afterward.
    4. Use eligible manual catches when seeking catch-based Max Particles; the two named catching accessories are excluded.
    5. Set separate reminders for earning points on 23 November and claiming unlocked rewards on 25 November.
