Pokémon GO spoofing app alternatives: iPogo, Shungo, PokeMod, PGTools, PolygonX and PGSharp Rooted Edition
Ten questions and answers covering every mod client and spoofing utility we preinstall, what each one replaces, and which to license first.
What are the best iPogo alternatives on a rooted phone?
On a rooted device the credible alternatives are PokeMod, Shungo, PolygonX and PGTools. PokeMod replaces iPogo entirely as a Magisk-module client with far more configuration. Shungo replaces it for automation-heavy play. PolygonX is not a game client at all — it feeds a spoofed location to stock Pokémon GO — and PGTools adds hands-off automation modules (PaC, PaS, PaH) on top of whichever client you pick.
Every phone we ship carries all of them in free-tier form, so the comparison is something you can run yourself in an evening rather than something you have to take on trust.
- PokeMod — deepest control, $7 per month (Premium)
- Shungo — most complete automation, $17 per month
- PolygonX — Patreon-based automation of the stock client
- PGTools — free APK, licence via staff, automation modules for rooted devices
Is PGSharp Rooted Edition better than iPogo?
PGSharp built its audience on not needing root, and the Rooted Edition mostly adds hiding and stability to that same feature set. If your phone is already rooted with Magisk 30.7 and Zygisk hiding — as ours are — you are paying for a problem that is already solved.
For the same money iPogo VIP at $5 a month gives a friendlier overlay, and PokeMod Pro at $7 a month gives materially more control. We do not resell PGSharp keys.
What does PolygonX do that a mod client does not?
PolygonX spoofs the device location rather than modifying the game. You get a joystick, saved favourite coordinates and route playback at a speed you set, and Pokémon GO runs completely unmodified on top.
That matters if you would rather not run a modified client at all: fewer moving parts in the game process, at the cost of losing IV overlays, feeds and quick catch.
Where does PGTools fit alongside iPogo or Shungo?
PGTools is an automation suite for rooted devices: PaC farms stops and catches, PaS shiny-checks spawns with IV and form filters, and PaH hatches eggs. It does not provide a joystick, so most people pair it with iPogo or PolygonX for movement.
Most buyers keep it open next to their client so they can check the cooldown table before the next jump — the single habit that prevents most soft bans.
Which spoofing app should I license first?
Play free-tier for a week before spending anything. If you mostly catch and spin casually, license iPogo VIP. If you want granular overlays, custom feeds and scripted routes, license PokeMod Pro. If you run multi-hour daily sessions and want the phone to work while you do not, Shungo at $17 a month is the only one that genuinely repays it.
- Casual daily play — iPogo VIP, $5 per month
- Power user — PokeMod Pro, $7 per month
- Long automated sessions — Shungo, $17 per month
- Never — a lifetime licence; we do not sell them, and neither should anyone
Can I run several spoofing apps on one phone?
Installed together, yes — that is exactly how our devices ship. Running together, no. Two things injecting coordinates at once produces jittering positions, failed catches and a detection signal no amount of hiding covers.
Switch deliberately: force-stop the current client, start the next one, then reopen the game.
Do any of these work without root?
PGSharp and some mock-location apps run unrooted, and they are detected sooner because Pokémon GO can see that a mock provider is active. PokeMod is a Magisk module and expects root outright.
Root is what converts a spoofed coordinate into what looks like an ordinary GPS fix, and what lets Magisk keep the modification out of the game's view.
How do I avoid a soft ban whichever app I use?
Cooldowns are enforced by the game, not the client, so no app avoids them. Intercontinental jumps cost roughly two hours; short hops cost minutes. Until the timer clears, catches, spins and gift openings silently fail.
Auto-walk at walking or cycling pace instead of dropping pins repeatedly, and set your starting cooldown in PaS before you let it run.
Will an Android update break my spoofing setup?
It can. An OTA update commonly breaks root hiding, and once hiding fails the mod clients stop working — sometimes silently. That is the usual reason a working setup suddenly stops.
Within the first year we re-flash the device free of charge, reinstall the full toolkit and retest it; you only cover return shipping.
Does any of this make an account ban-proof?
No, and treat anyone claiming otherwise as a warning sign. Spoofing breaks Niantic's Terms of Service, anti-cheat work is continuous, and what is undetected this month may not be next month.
We sell hardware and preinstalled tooling. Use an account you could afford to lose, or do not spoof.
Last updated 28/08/2026. We sell hardware only — spoofing breaks Niantic's Terms of Service and can get an account banned.
